Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Darryl Hubble attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City for Pharmacy School. Upon graduation in 1973, Darryl moved to Jefferson City and began working for Whaley’s Pharmacy. In 1978, he became a partner with James Whaley and in 1998, upon James’ passing, purchased the majority shares. In 2003, Darryl became sole owner of Whaley’s Pharmacy. During that time Darryl opened Pro-Care and later in 2005 opened Whaley’s West location.
Darryl and his wife Connie currently live above the East end store, which is now a National Historic Landmark. They have two children and four grandchildren. Their daughter, Stacy Welling, is very active in the business, allowing them to enjoy more free time and travel a great deal.
